Born in Nice on 15 November 1982, Francophone pop singer Jenifer Yaël Juliette
Dadouche-Bartoli, known mononymously as Jenifer, first rose to fame after
winning the reality talent show Star Academy in 2002. The win paved the way for
a recording contract and the release of her debut single, "J'attends l'amour"
(I'm waiting for love), which was a hit in her native France as well as Belgium.
