A guitar prodigy since the age of four, Joe Bonamassa (born in New York State, May 8, 1977) opened for B.B. King at the age of twelve. A few years later, he formed the group Bloodline, then signed to the Epic label at the age of 22. He released A New Day Yesterday in 2000 and So It's Like That in 2002, then continued in the blues-rock vein with the covers on Blues Deluxe (2003). His seventh album, The Ballad of John Henry, was released in 2009. On Black Rock, released in 2010, B. B. King himself lends a hand to one of the finest guitarists of his generation.
