J-Pop singer, songwriter, and actor Kazunari Ninomiya was born in Katsushika,
Tokyo, Japan on June 17, 1983. He joined the talent agency Johnny & Associates
when he was 13, eventually joining boyband Arashi in 1999. The group’s first
three singles – “Arashi,” “Sunrise Nippon,” and “Horizon” – topped the Japanese
singles chart. They would eventually score over 50 Number 1 singles between 1999
and 2020 while 15 of their 17 studio albums reached that peak position as well.
