Born Maaike Kito Lebbing (June 20, 1987) in the small town of Denmark, Western
Australia, the Australian artist known as Kito has traveled the globe and carved
a path for herself as a successful DJ, producer and songwriter. After moving to
Perth aged 17 for a short-lived stint at fashion school, she signed up to study
music at a TAFE (technical and further education) institution and simultaneously
began honing her skills as a DJ at local clubs around the city, as well as
working in a record store. Two years, a trip to Europe unlocked a love of
dubstep that inspired her to try her...
