Born Lamin Nørlem Samba on 16 May 1995 in Brønshøj, Denmark to a father with
Gambian heritage and a Danish mother, the rapper known mononymously as Lamin has
since carved out a singular sound on the country's national hip-hop scene,
spearheading a self-styled movement called "The Wave." He set the wheels in
motion for his career with a pair of singles in 2019—"Tiger" and
"Trabajo"—before teaming up with the Danish rapper Artigrade, who is of Albanian
Macedonian origin, for the "Milano Step" single. 2020 saw his first EP surface.
