Born on August 18, 1959, Lise Jalbert, known professionally as Laurence Jalbert,
is a Québécois pop singer. In 1990, after touring Quebec for over ten years with
the groups The Kids and Volt, she released her self-titled debut solo album
which was a commercial success thanks to the songs "Au nom de la raison," "En
courant," "Rage," and "Tomber." In October 1990, she received two Félix Awards
at the Gala de l'ADISQ, one for Best Newcomer and another for Music Video of the
