With a long and tumultuous history, Les Ambassadeurs is a Malian supergroup,
with singers Salif Keita and Ousmane Dia, saxophonist Moussa "Vieux" Cissokho
and musicians who have gravitated towards the group, such as Ali Farka Touré and
Cheick Tidiane Seck. From its formation in Bamako in 1970, through political
exile in Côte d'Ivoire, to its break-up at the height of its fame in 1985, Les
