Featuring members of heavy metal acts like Tygers of Pan Tang, Iron Maiden, and
Liar, Lionheart built a well-deserved reputation in the British hard rock scene
during the early 1980s before breaking up in 1986 and reforming 30 years later.
The band formed in 1980, with an original lineup that included frontman Jess
Cox, guitarists Dennis Stratton and Steve Mann, bassist Rocky Newton, and
drummer Frank Noon. The group toured the UK as Def Leppard's opening act in 1981
