Louise Attaque are the holders of a rare record for a French rock band, then
unknown: to have sold almost three million copies of their homonymous debut
album, released in 1997 and ranked No. 1 against all odds. Formed three years
earlier by Gaëtan Roussel (vocals, guitar), Arnaud Samuel (violin, guitar,
piano), Robin Feix (bass) and Alexandre Margraff (drums), the folk-rock quartet
survived this initial success with a second album, Comme On A Dit (also No. 1 in
