Lucinda Williams, born in Lake Charles (Lousiana, January 26, 1953), is the
embodiment of the female alternative country revival. Blending her blues and
folk roots with seventies rock, this long-established "cult" singer with her
deep, high voice and wide-ranging influences enjoyed a belated success in 1998
