Maggie Bell

Blues
In 1967, she founded Stone The Crows. Thanks to Bell's extraordinary, rocky vocals, the band established itself as one of the blue chips of British heavy blues. But in 1973, following the death of guitarist Les Harvey (electrocuted on stage), Maggie embarked on a solo career as a rhythm'n'blues tenor, recording with the crème de la crème of studio musicians. But without much success. Since then, this Scottish cousin of Janis Joplin has put her larynx to good use with the band Midnight Flyer.
