Mami Ayukawa (鮎川麻弥)—born Masami Katou (加藤雅弥) on 29 March 1961, in Shinjuku,
Tokyo—is a renowned Japanese singer-songwriter celebrated for her significant
contributions to the anime canon in the 1980s. She debuted in 1984 with "Kaze no
No Reply," the second opening theme for the TV series Heavy Metal L-Gaim. Her
prominence on the anime scene was further solidified with "Zeta – Toki wo
Koete," the first opening theme for Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam in 1985, and "Yume
