French-Canadian pop singer Marilou scored a Number 1 hit at the age of 12, recording a duet with Canadian singer Gino Quilico called "Je Serai Là Pour Toi" that led to a deal with Sony Music Canada and Sony Music France. Born Marilou Bourdon on September 20, 1990 in Longueuil, Quebec, Bourdon had been propelled into the spotlight the previous year after appearing on Quebec's television talent show Stars à Domicile.
