Marquis
Marquis is a French post-punk/cold wave band formed in 2020 out tragic
circumstances. The origins of the band began in Rennes, France when singer
Philippe Pascal and guitarist Frank Darcel founded the band Marquis de Sade.
Despite its short existence - the band split in 1981 - they left a lasting mark
on the Rennes scene, leaving behind two influential cold wave albums: Dantzig
Twist (1979) and Rue de Siam (1981). The band - Philippe Pascal, Franck Darcel,
Thierry Alexandre (bass) and Eric Morgen (drums) - reunited in 2017 for a series
