Alternately known as both "Mazhar-Fuat-Özkan" and "Mazhar ve Fuat", MFÖ is a
Turkish band whose career dates back to 1971. Co-founders Mazhar Alanson and
Fuat Güner previously played together in the band Carefree, and they continued
collaborating after Carefree's breakup during the early 1970s. Türküz Türkü
Çağırırız, their debut album, was released in 1973, with the duo billing itself
as "Mazhar ve Fuat." The record was a commercial failure, prompting Alanson and
