Producer and composer Michael Zager became a household name in 1978 with the
disco anthem "Let's All Chant", credited to the Michael Zager Band. As a
producer, this American born in 1943 worked with artists such as Luther Vandross
and The Spinners. He also debuted Whitney Houston on the track "Life's a Party"
, which also features his mother, Cissy Houston. A former member of the jazz
fusion group Ten Wheel Drive from 1968 to 1973, Michael Zager became a teacher
and author once his disco heyday was over.
