The career of accordionist Michel Pruvot is closely linked to television. He
began playing the musette at the age of thirteen, but in the 1960s was forced to
lead a ballroom orchestra in order to survive. Michel Pruvot returned to his
beloved musette in the 1980s, making a name for himself in 1982 by breaking the
world accordion endurance record. From then on, a string of television
appearances consolidated his popularity. Michel Pruvot became a permanent guest
on La Classe (1986) and Intervilles (1989), before creating his own show with
