Monkan Kankoon
Monkan Kankoon is a Thai singer who performs in the traditional genres of Mor
lam and Luk thung. Born Kittikhun Boonkhamchoon on July 20, 1973, in the
Yasothon Province, he inherited his father's love for singing and made his
official recording debut under the name Ponrnphet Boonkhamchun on a
collaborative album with fellow singer Pornsak Songsaeng. After working with RS
Public Company Limited and serving in the military for 2 years, he adopted the
alias Monkan Kankoon and landed a deal with GMM Grammy, Thailand's biggest media
