A prolific composer and conductor, Nicola Piovani is one of the leading
exponents of the Italian school of film music. After making his debut with Marco
Bellocchio(Au Nom du Père, 1972), he took over from Nino Rota for Federico
Fellini's last three films: Ginger et Fred (1986), Intervista (1987) and La Voce
della Luna (1990). Specializing in Italian auteur cinema, he was also a regular
collaborator with Nanni Moretti(Palombella Rossa in 1989, Diario Intime in 1993)
