Veronica Scopelliti (January 25, 1982), better known by her stage name Noemi, is
an Italian singer-songwriter who jumped to fame after competing on the reality
show X Factor in 2009. Born in Rome to two amateur musicians, she started
studying piano at the age of 7 and picked up the guitar when she was 11. After
graduating from Roma Tre University in 2005 and working briefly as a filmmaker,
