Okoumé is a Quebec rock band formed in Quebec City, Canada, in 1995 by Éloi
Painchaud, Éric Gosselin, Jonathan Painchaud, Hugo Perreault and Michel Duguay.
In 1995, they won first prize in the Pro-Scène competition, which consisted of
100 hours of studio recording. In the summer of 1997, the band released their
first homonymous album, which went platinum in 1999, selling over 100,000
