Considered one of the pioneers of doom metal, Pentagram was founded in 1971 by
Geoff O'Keefe and Bobby Liebling. The latter would remain at the microphone and
at the helm of the band through the various incarnations that would mark its
evolution until 2015, and the release of its eighth album Curious Volume.
Despite its influence, Pentagram remained mute for some fifteen years on the
recording front, releasing only a few seminal demos that would leave a lasting
mark on many bands to follow in its wake, such as Cathedral and Spirit Caravan.
