Banding together in 1993, Halifax, Nova Scotia power-pop quartet Plumtree were
initially formed by Amanda Braden (vocals, guitar), Nina Martin (bass), and
sisters Carla and Lynette Gillis (guitar and drums, respectively) and introduced
themselves via a six-track demo tape, Flutterboard, in 1994. Their debut
full-length, Mass Teen Fainting, followed in 1995, taking titular inspiration
