American rapper Marlanna Evans, professionally known as Rapsody, was born on
January 21, 1983, in Snow Hill, North Carolina. Beginning her career under the
mentorship of music producer 9th Wonder at his label, It's a Wonderful World
Music Group, Rapsody initially gained attention through a series of mixtapes and
notable collaborations with artists such as Erykah Badu and Talib Kweli. Her
debut album, The Idea of Beautiful, was released in 2012, however she attracted
