Raúl Lavié, born Raúl Alberto Peralta on August 22, 1937, in Santa Fe,
Argentina, is a remarkable figure in the world of tango. He started his career
in the late 1950s with the renowned orchestra led by Héctor Varela, which marked
the beginning of his lifelong dedication to tango. In the early 1960s, he rose
to prominence in the musical comedy series El Club del Clan, in which he sang
Spanish versions of songs by Paul Anka. After the show got canceled, Raúl Lavié
