Rednex was founded in 1994 by three Swedish producers. The band is known for its
unique musical style: they mix Eurodance with elements of American country
music. This combination, strange at first glance, led to the worldwide hit
"Cotton Eye Joe" in 1995: A dance cover version of a traditional country-folk
song. The square dance, spiced up with electronic beats, was followed by two
