New Zealand-born singer and TV presenter Ricki-Lee Coulter got her big break in 2004 when she appeared on the 'Australian Idol' TV talent show, coming seventh but still going on to secure a recording contract with Melbourne-based Shock Records. Shock released her eponymous debut LP from which two singles were certified as Australian Gold sellers. She expanded her appeal in 2005 by joining the all-female group Young Divas along with fellow 'Australian Idol' alumni Pauline Curuenavuli, Emily Williams and Kate DeAraugo.
