María del Rocío Banquells Núñez, widely known as Rocío Banquells, is an
accomplished Mexican singer, actress, and politician. She was born on June 22,
1958, in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León. As the child of the actor and
director Rafael Banquells and actress Dina de Marco, Rocío Banquells was raised
in a family deeply immersed in the arts. She initiated her acting career at the
tender age of 10, making her debut in a play directed by her father. Throughout
