The German jazz and pop musician Roger Cicero was born Roger Marcel Cicero Ciceu
on July 6, 1970 in West Berlin. His father was the jazz pianist Eugen Cicero and
his mother, the dancer Lili Cziczeo. He grew up in the Grunewald district of
Berlin and lost his half-sister Babette to a heroin overdose in 1977. At the age
of eleven, he performed as the opening act for chanson singer Helen Vita and
first appeared on television at the age of 16. At the age of 18, he studied
singing, guitar and piano at the Hohner Conservatory and then went on to study
