Born on June 5th, 1971 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Roger Yang Pei-an, known by the
stage name Roger Yang, started his recording career at the relatively late age
of 35, but quickly made up for lost time. The release of breakthrough single "I
Believe" (我相信) in 2006 saw him go from down-on-his-luck pub singer to a beloved
star nicknamed "Iron Lung Prince" (鐵肺王子) by the Taiwanese media and "Treble God"
(高音之神) by his fans. His deft ability to leap up and down the octaves earned him
comparisons to the late Taiwanese wunderkind Zhang Yu-Sheng, while as an artist
