Rone
Electronic music producer and musician Erwan Castex – born on June 20, 1980, in
Boulogne Billancourt, France – is better known by his stage name, Rone. Growing
up in Paris, he studied cinema before he turned his attention to electronic
music and started writing his own music using a synthesizer and a computer. His
first EP, Bora, was released in 2008 and the title track was chosen by DJ /
producer Agoria for inclusion on his mix compilation At the Controls. This
raised his profile and caught the attention of the electronic music community.
