Sharon Robinson
San Francisco native Sharon Robinson enjoyed a successful career as a
songwriter, collaborating with and/or penning songs for a diverse list of
artists including Leonard Cohen (her most formative creative partner), The
Pointer Sisters, Don Henley, Patti LaBelle and many more. Her big break came
when she worked as back-up singer for Cohen in the late '70s. They would go on
to write dozens of songs together including one of his most famous tracks,
"Everybody Knows", which would appear on Cohen's 1988 album I'm Your Man. She
