Cited as a major influence by trip-hop heroes Massive Attack and Tricky,
Siouxsie is one of the few major punk players to maintain significant
popularity, particularly in the UK. The days when Sid Vicious or Robert Smith
played for her are long gone. Emancipated from her status as a gothic icon,
Siouxsie's overtly pop-rock debut solo album Mantaray (2007) demonstrates that
she is embarking on a new stage in her artistic career.
