1963) developed his career at the turn of the 1990s, recording a handful of
representative West Coast rap albums on Rick Rubin's Def Jam label. A leading
exponent of party rap as a precursor to pop rap, this Seattle native followed
the hip-hop movement by hosting a radio show and honing his skills on the
