Six Feet Under was started in 1993 by Cannibal Corpse singer Chris Barnes and
Obituary guitarist Allen West as a side project. The band subsequently developed
into one of the most important death metal bands in the USA. Six Feet Under
became a real band in 1995 when Chris Barnes left Cannibal Corpse. Guitarist
Allen West was replaced by Steve Swanson in 1998. This group is responsible for
nine albums, of which Haunted (1995), Warpath (1997), Double Dead (2002) and
