Moroccan singer Sofia Mestari defends France's chances at the 2000 Eurovision
Song Contest with "On aura le ciel". The song was only 23rd in the voting and a
minor hit in France, but it was enough to launch her career. Sofia Mestari's
French variété pop with sensible lyrics was only slightly successful after that.
While 2003's En Plein Coeur de la Nuit proved a hit, 2008's La Vie en Entier
failed to live up to expectations, despite its overall quality. Sofia Mestari
returns in 2011 with A la Croisée des Chemins and the track "En toi".
