The German rapper SSIO was born on January 29, 1989, to Afghan parents who had
fled their homeland and arrived in Germany in 1986 seeking political asylum. His
birth name is Ssiawosch Sadat and he initially began his career under the name
Kanakonda after signing to Nix records in 2007, a label where his brother is
involved in artist management. In 2012, Sadat released a mixtape titled Spezial
