German-born singer-songwriter Synje Norland has a transatlantic lifestyle
spending her time between her homes in Canada and Germany. She made her
recording debut in 2007 with the album 'Skipping Stones' released on the Norland
Music label, a label created by her father specifically to promote his
daughter's musical career. The album was a collaboration with music producer
Benitto Battiston. Some of the tracks from the album were featured in the German
miniseries 'Red Roses' and this exposure to a national TV audience helped
promote album sales.
