The Braxtons
Formed in the late 1980s, The Braxtons is an R&B vocal group formed in Severn,
Maryland. The group was originally comprised of five sisters - Toni Braxton
(born October 7, 1967), Traci Braxton (born April 2, 1971), Towanda Braxton
(born September 18, 1973), Trina Braxton (born December 3, 1974) and Tamar
Braxton (born March 17, 1977). Since childhood, the Braxton sisters were active
in several choirs in different churches and toured the East Coast of the US.
They signed their first contract with Arista Records in 1989 and released their
