Dov J. Elkabas (November 5, 1968), better known by the stage name The Prophet, is an Israeli-Dutch DJ and one of the pioneers of hardstyle music in his native country. Hailing from Amsterdam, he kicked off his career as a resident DJ in 1983 at the disco Het Nijlpaardenhuis, where he first focused on hip-hop and then pivoted to house music in 1988.
