Born as "Tiê Gasparinetti Biral" to an artistic family that included her
legendary grandmother — Brazilian television actress Vida Alves — Tiê is a
Brazilian singer, songwriter, and guitarist. During the early stages of her
career, she was mentored by bossa nova musician Toquinho, who took the
burgeoning musician on tour for two years. Following the tour's completion, she
collaborated with Dudu Tsuda on her debut recording, E.P. 1, which was released
in 2007. Her first full-length album, Sweet Jardim, followed in 2009 and earned
a nomination at the MTV Video Music Brasil Awards. ...
