Tycho
Scott Hansen, aka Tycho, is a producer, composer and musician renowned for his
ambient music. Hansen grew up listening to rock until he discovered DJ Bulkan,
Boards of Canada and DJ Shadow whilst at university studying computer science.
He started self-releasing drum & bass tracks in 2002, but embraced broader
influences and developed a sparse, meandering synth sound on debut album 'Past
Is Prologue' (2006), which critics categorised as IDM (Intelligent Dance Music).
