William Wei – born Wei Li-an in Taichung City, Taiwan on March 5, 1987 – is a
mandopop and folk-rock singer/songwriter who is also known by the name WeiBird.
He first came to prominence in 2007 as the winner of the first season of the
televised Taiwanese talent competition series Happy Sunday. After winning the
season, he signed a contract with Unfair Records and released his debut two-song
EP, Slowly Wait, in 2009. His full length self-titled album was issued in 2010
