Born Xavier Plante on March 6, 1977 in Aylmer (Canada), Xavier Caféïne is a
Quebec rock singer. In 1997, he formed the group Caféïne, which lasted until
2002. The group released two albums during its five-year career, Mal Édiqué Mon
Amour in 1998 and Pornstar in 2000. He then turned to the English-language scene
with the group Poxy until 2004, when a self-titled opus was released. In August
2006, he released his first solo album, Gisèle , on which he plays most of the
