Yelle
In 2005, the electro-dance-pop group Yelle gained notoriety thanks to their
success on the MySpace social network. Breton singer Julie Budet, born January
17, 1983 in Saint-Brieuc, Brittany, met amateur DJ Jean-François Perrier, aka
GrandMarnier, in 2000, who became her partner and introduced her to rap and
electronic music. Looking for a female voice for his musical projects, he
finally got her to accept the idea of singing. The young woman adopted the
pseudonym YEL, an acronym for You Enjoy Life, before adding the ending "LE " to
