Magic Orchestra, Yukihiro Takahashi (June 6, 1952) is a Japanese musician,
producer, and actor. Born in Tokyo, he rose to fame playing drums with the
Sadistic Mika Band in the early 1970s, after which he released his first solo
album Saravah in 1977. Only a year later, he teamed up with Ryuichi Sakamoto and
Haruomi Hosono and founded the Yellow Magic Orchestra, a band that spearheaded
the electropop boom of the 1980s with releases like Solid State Survivor (1979),
