Real name Zacharie Morier-Gxoyiya, Canadian rapper Zach Zoya was born in
Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, on April 8, 1998. The son of a South African emigrant who
fled apartheid and a Canadian woman, he became interested in rap as a teenager
through the radio, and decided to leave the region to settle in Montreal, aiming
for a musical career. Hired by the label 7ème Ciel, Zach Zoya recorded his first
tracks and a five-track EP, Misstape (2018), before being invited to the "Nuit
