Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Nika Roza Danilova aka Zola Jesus wanted to be
a singer. After ten years of training, she abandoned this dream to devote
herself to recording dark, experimental electro pieces played on second-hand
synthesizers. In 2008, her debut EP and album The Spoils triggered hysteria
among bloggers across the Atlantic. For the following album, Stridulum II
