In search of truth with an uppercase letter T
I find it best to squint my eyes
Burden of proof lessens when you can barely see
The answer rests between the lines
When they get scratched into the table
Each one writ with an asterisk
Freedom is used like it's a fable
Losing life we don't have to risk
In search of hope, but I don't believe in magic
I play pretend, but I know it's fiction
Longing for what I have, it's sorta tragic
Hoping to treat this condition
When they get scratched into the table
Each one writ with an asterisk
Freedom is used like it's a fable
Losing life we don't have to risk
Two ideas that seem so different
Hold them in each hand and sit with it
