Shizuka Kimura (木村 静香), from her maiden name Shizuka Kudō (工藤 静香) was born on
April 14, 1970 in Hamura, Japan. She began her singing career with the pop trio
Seventeen Club, formed as a result of the Miss Seventeen Contest organized by
Seventeen magazine. The group split up after just two tracks, "Su Ki Futari
Tomo!" and "Baajin Kuraishisu". Shizuka Kimura joined a new group while still in
high school: Onyanko Club, which had various subdivisions with up to 38 members.
